		<description>Thanks for the tips.  Many of them I already use - which I guess is a good sign - but there were a few tips that I will be taking with me.  The reading out loud idea is one of the best tricks I have up my sleeve.  Not only do I catch mistakes, but I also find better ways to express ideas that I might not have thought of otherwise.</description>

		<description>Readability stats can be helpful if people know how to use them. 

Most people assume that the higher the grade level of the writing, the better.  Not so. Lower is better. 

Writers need to use the shortest, most common words that will convey their meaning. The should try to lower their average sentence length. By varying the length of sentences, writers can reach a wider audience without sounding babyish.
